A consumer storefront, a live shop catalog, and a Marketplace auto-poster for a used-tire retailer: one constantly-changing inventory kept accurate across the website and social marketplaces, with no re-keying.

The challenge

The client is a used-tire and wheel retailer in Western Canada: hundreds of inspected, road-ready used tires and alloy wheels in stock at 50 to 70% below new prices, and an inventory that turns over constantly, which made every sales channel a manual chore.

Used inventory is the hardest e-commerce problem in tires. Every item is effectively unique (brand, size, tread depth, condition grade, singles vs. sets), stock changes daily, and the highest-intent buyers browse social marketplaces rather than the shop’s own site. The shop needed three things: a storefront where a non-expert can find the right tire by vehicle or by size without phoning in, a live catalog that reflects real stock without staff re-keying anything, and a way to keep hundreds of marketplace listings in sync with that stock automatically.

How we solved it

We built one inventory with three surfaces, so the same stock drives the shop floor, the website, and the marketplace without anyone entering it twice.

A front door built around fitment: a finder card leads with shop by vehicle (year, make, model, trim) or shop by size, backed by popular-sizes-in-stock chips, featured inventory, and the shop’s selling points: inspected and road-ready, half the price of new, and keeping usable tires out of the landfill.

Built for used inventory: filterable by product type, vehicle, tire size, and rim diameter, with cards that surface what actually matters, condition grade (A/B/C), measured tread depth (e.g. 9/32nds), and set-of-four, pair, or single indicators, all with live quantity counts.

Marketplace auto-poster screen

Marketplace auto-poster

A browser extension that watches shop inventory and mirrors it to social marketplace listings. It loads the full tire and wheel catalog, shows per-item posted, pending, or update status, badges how many listings need changes, and pushes updates hourly: new items posted, price changes synced, sold items pulled. A daily posting grind became a sync button.

Why it matters

One inventory, three surfaces, shop floor, website, and marketplace, with zero re-keying. Listings stay accurate even as unique items sell, and the storefront converts buyers who could never have self-served on size alone.
